A First Look at “Intro Burbank” — The Game-Changing LaTerra Development

We just got an exclusive sneak peek of Intro Burbank, the newest residential project by LaTerra Development in partnership with QuadReal. After years in the making, this thoughtfully designed, resort-style apartment community is getting ready to open its doors, and it’s going to be a game-changer for Burbank’s housing scene.

Bryan met with Chris and Mia from the LaTerra team for a walk-through of the space, the story behind the development, and why this is more than just another building — it’s a reimagined lifestyle for Burbank locals and media professionals alike.

Why This Project Matters
Burbank hasn’t seen a new Class A apartment development in two decades. With over 165,000 jobs in the area and only 45,000 households, the demand for high-quality rental housing is massive. Intro Burbank is stepping in with 573 much-needed units, helping to meet that demand and elevate the standard of living in the city.

The Rooftop That Redefines Apartment Living
This isn’t your average rooftop. Spanning 40,000 square feet (nearly an acre), the rooftop at Intro Burbank is built for leisure and community. It includes two swimming pools, hot tubs, a wading pool, cabanas, fire pits, outdoor lounges, and game areas — all with panoramic views of the Burbank and Hollywood Hills. It feels more like a luxury resort than an apartment complex.

Designed for Creators
Fitting for the media capital of the world, the project features two buildings: The Writer and The Actor. Each has its own unique vibe and amenities, including a green screen room, podcast studio, writer’s lounge, prop room, and hair and makeup station. Whether you’re filming content, recording audio, or prepping for an audition, everything you need is built in. This is a live-work-play environment in the truest sense.

Sustainable and Smart
The development is also focused on sustainability. It’s designed to achieve LEED Gold certification, features Energy Star appliances, solar panels that provide 10% of the site’s power, EV charging stations, and direct access to bike lanes and public transit. It’s forward-thinking, both in function and design.

Nine Years in the Making
This project has been nearly a decade in the making, with planning starting back in 2016. The time and care poured into every phase — from community consultation and entitlement to design and amenities — is evident in every corner.

Chris and Mia call this the best roof deck in the country, and honestly, they may be right. It’s unlike anything else in Burbank — or in Southern California, for that matter.

Opening Soon
The doors to Intro Burbank are set to open in just a couple of months. We'll be back for the launch and can't wait to see the finished product come to life.
